In an industry where appearances matter as much as talent, maintaining a radiant and healthy lifestyle is not just a personal choice but a professional necessity for me. I believe that maintaining a radiant and healthy lifestyle is not just about looking good—it is about feeling good, both physically and mentally. When I take care of myself, I can perform at my best and fully embrace the opportunities that come my way.

Here are 3 simple yet effective tips to stay radiant and healthy throughout the year:

Prioritise hydration

Staying hydrated is key to keeping your skin supple and your body functioning optimally. I start my day with a glass of warm water infused with a squeeze of lemon. Not only does this help flush out toxins from my body, but it also kickstarts my metabolism. Throughout the day, I make sure to sip on water regularly, aiming for at least 8 glasses a day. Hydration is not only crucial for maintaining skin elasticity but also for boosting energy levels and promoting overall well-being.

Nourish from within

A balanced diet plays a significant role in both our physical health and the appearance of our skin. I believe in the power of whole, nutrient-rich foods to nourish my body from the inside out. Incorporating plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats into my meals ensures that I am getting a variety of essential vitamins and minerals. Foods rich in antioxidants, such as berries, spinach, and nuts, help protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals and promote a youthful complexion. One of my all-time favourites and easiest nuts to add to my diet is almonds. I prefer eating almonds daily in place of typical calorie-matched snacks, which have proven to be an effective means of improving the appearance of facial wrinkles and skin tone. And did you know? Daily consumption of almonds may help support the skin’s resistance to UVB light (the main source of skin damage from sun exposure) and improve skin texture. I also try to limit my intake of processed foods and sugary treats, opting for wholesome alternatives that support my overall health goals. Almonds are a healthy source of energy to help keep you active. Rich in Vitamin B2, Vitamin E, magnesium, and phosphorus, almonds are known for their role in energy release from food.

Practice consistent skincare

Establishing a skincare routine tailored to your skin type is crucial for maintaining a clear, radiant complexion. I follow a simple yet effective skincare regimen religiously, consisting of cleansing, toning, moisturizing, and sun protection. Cleansing my face twice a day helps remove impurities and excess oil, while toning helps restore the skin's pH balance. I then apply a lightweight moisturizer to keep my skin hydrated and supple. Sunscreen is a non-negotiable step in my routine, as it protects my skin from harmful UV rays and prevents premature aging. I also make sure to exfoliate regularly to slough off dead skin cells and promote cell turnover, revealing a fresh, glowing complexion underneath.
